VOTE ON ELECTION DAY
TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 7

A NOTE FROM JAIME
In July 2020, as NA Senior Class President, I stated in my commencement speech, “we must redefine what it means to be a citizen today in order to meet this defining moment and every moment thereafter.”
My candidacy is a testament to how seriously I aspire to live up to these words. As a school board member, I pledge to aspire to model a new kind of positive civic engagement at NA—both in public and behind closed doors.
While speaking to the community, I realize that too many of us are growing cynical when looking at our community leaders. We’re all tired of the same dysfunction, and that exhaustion can lead to complacency. I’m here to tell you we don’t have to be complacent.
We can do better, we must do better, and we will do better.
With your vote, this community will gain a true public servant—committed to his constituents, with valuable background and perspective, and seeking to regularly pursue the common threads of his colleagues.
I invite you to learn more about what I stand for as we together pursue a better future here at North Allegheny.
Always at your service,

“I’m running a different campaign: one that speaks to our entire community; one that recognizes that there’s an opportunity to learn from each other’s differences; one that will invest in this community in the same way this community has invested in me.“
